Core cycle relevant for Energy?

Hello everyone!
I’m currently simulating several years of production and consumption using my CSV files. I’ve used the Simulator DataSource to load my data, followed by a battery with the Simulator EssSymmetric Reacting to test various strategies I want to apply.

To speed up my simulation, I’m considering reducing the Core Cycle time to 1 ms. This would allow me to get my simulation results within a few minutes.

However, since my power measurements are in Watts every 1 ms (every 15 minutes according to my files), I’m wondering if the stored energy is representative of reality. Does it consider the 1 ms step for calculating stored energy, or is this irrelevant?

Thank you in advance for your help, and have a great weekend!

David

Hi David,

this is where the Energy calculation in ESS takes place: openems/io.openems.edge.simulator/src/io/openems/edge/simulator/ess/symmetric/reacting/SimulatorEssSymmetricReactingImpl.java at develop · OpenEMS/openems · GitHub

Just adjust it accordingly.

Stefan
