I’m currently building my smart-home system for my house. For energy management I wanted a system that is optimizing usage but at the same time is open and easy to extend (with my custom heuristics and custom adapters for my other devices like custom water heater integration etc.).
OpenEMS fit’s the bill and I already run it in my house in shadow mode. But I’d like to be able to get as much money as I can get out of my hardware so I’d like to take advantage of arbitrage opportunities on the spot market with my battery.
I’m happy to add this feature into the OpenEMS upstream and polish it enough that it’s up to the bar. But before I do I wanted to ask if this is something that is aligned with the project’s vision?
