Hello,
we are controlling a Fenecon Home 20kW with OpenEMS using Edge2edge.
Now we are searching for a possibility to avoid energy flow to the grid when we have PV production and the battery is already full.
Since we don’t want to increase the consumption, is there a way to limit the production?
The reason why we want to achieve this:
We have a flexible tariff and there are times when we have to pay if we deliver energy to the grid. During this times it would be beneficial to stop the production.
Many thanks for your answers in advance.

You need first to look at inverter side, if it supports that. You can reduce inverter efficiency and limit active power through cos fi settings. It will result in different power factor.
By default inverters are set up to cos fi=1 meaning they produce only active power. If you will change that to lower value, you will observe drop of active power and proportional increase of reactive power. Since most of modern grid/utilities meters monitor both you need to stay within contracted limits. Usually reactive power for consumption should not exceed 20-30% of active power, but I am not sure of production side.
Hi @Rantanplan and welcome to the community.
This feature has not been implemented. See the TODO here:
It should be possible though by setting appropriate values for emsPowerMode
and emsPowerSet
of the inverter.
